Lovely theobromine in cacao helps to awaken our heart to feeling. Cacao contains highly concentrated quantities of micronutrients, like magnesium, which helps to deactivate adrenaline and fights acid buildup. Cacao is a sacred and ceremonial plantita that connects us to the groundedness of Earth’s energy.
Rose is a high-vibrational plantita that instills self-love and restoration for a burnt-out heart. Rose reminds us of the beauty in opening up to our vulnerability, and has many actions including antidepressant and anti-inflammatory.
Jasmine invokes a spiritual sense of love and is known to be an aphrodisiac, and especially relates to our desire for sweetness and beauty.
Cinnamon is great medicine for those of us who often disassociate from our emotions, aiding circulation as it is warm and moving.
Vanilla is very soothing and calming. It shines the flavors of the sun and invokes a sense of abundance.
This medicine represents the center of the medicine wheel: our heart and thus our spirit. The place-based name, Cordillera, is the central mountain range that I believe is the heart of Puerto Rico where the cacao plant is harvested and processed into cacao nibs via Forgotten Forest (@forgottenforestpr.) This medicine actually came to me in a dream while I was sleeping in La Cordillera, where the cacao (that I had been grinding in a pilón every morning), was oozing in honey and roses. The jasmine came to me within a story my aunt told me regarding how my great-grandmother had them wrapped around the windows of her Utuado home and their intoxicating / uplifting scent. This is a very lovingly and intentionally crafted medicine made over new moon energy. I wanted this medicine to reflect the pure goodness of a loving heart, to open to receive and give when we come from a centered and grounded place within.
Suggested Use: take 1 dropper-full under your tongue up to 3x a day or as needed, or dilute in any coffee or tea. infuse with the intention to open, connect with, and ground the heart space.
